Finally, Someone is Using the Demo Sites! Okay It is Me, But Sure Makes Testing a New Theme Easy!

The other day I decided to do a makeover on one of the sites I maintain and remembered I have 2 perfectly good, ready to go test sites right here.

So I went ahead and took over Demo Site 3 for the next few days. I’ll eventually clear out everything once I have finished testing out themes.

What puzzles me is that no one else has ever taken advantage of these free sites?  Oh well, suffice to say demo 3 is going to be occupied for the foreseeable future.

Incidentally, testing themes is a royal pain-in-the-ass. There are thousands of them, all promising to do this or that and then they don’t actually function as advertised or worse yet to get the features mentioned you must get the “Pro” version. I immediately dump those, because that should be stated in the details before one wastes time downloading.

Demo Site 2, while a great success will go offline on Friday or Saturday….

Demo Site 2 was setup to talk about my new Asus laptop, but soon became a site for testing…

I set it up to pull down all my posts from all my other sites and so far it has worked great! Therefore I can report that the very old multi-importer plugin, which is no longer available on WordPress.org is still functional and useful.

But this site is dedicated to allowing folks to test WordPress and must therefore be reset to an install site. There is a countdown in the right column for those interested in the approximate time this site will revert.
