Howdy Folks! We Have Somewhat Relaxed Security, by Allowing Comments, Bots Are Still Blocked.

top-secret-1So all the sites I currently run now have a fairly decent plugin that seems adequate for blocking most bots and a few hackers.

So all the sites listed on this site will now allow comments. Please don’t attempt to spam, those comments will get dumped!

In the meantime check out my latest video on doing screenshots in Windows 10 on a Tablet!

Now, someone leave a damned comment!

A quick short video on how to use the demo sites.

Today’s little video was shot on a tablet to show folks just how easy it is to setup one of the 3 demo sites we have available here. If I can run a setup on a tablet anyone should be able to run an install.

It really is quite easy, and I will also be adding the video below to the Demo Sites How-To page later today.

There is one minor error in the video where I mention a weak email, that should be “password”. But I do not do multiple takes! Not Hollywood here folks.

Because I think even the non-particpants who visit this site need to know…a short Video on the K480 Keyboard!

Yes, most of the folks who visit this site never do a damn thing on the internet, because they are content to post videos and images and “memes”.

So in keeping with that tradition is a video I am borrowing from my Tablets sites, where folks actually care about technology and nifty accessories……

Hey…there is another new video here!!

So you want to try out the demo sites but are still clueless? Watch the video below and although you will probably be forever clueless, you might someday thank me…after watching, click this link and test out the demo site. Keep in mind that the demo site may have reverted back to the install page, since I don’t want to use up 1 of only 3 demo sites on a fake blog. But if that is the case, simply run the install, keeping in mind that the database/username/password for the database is the same as the sub-domain name.

So you decided to run your own server on a virtual machine and need some security.

high-class-panasonic-video-camera-camcorderThis little video will show you just a few of the basic methods of killing off those annoying folks who constantly annoy your site.   It will also cement the fact in your tiny brain, that when it comes to crappy music Tim RULES! You will find that if you use a few basic tools that come with a basic VM install from Turnkey Linux Lamp Stack and your router and inside of your Apache server settings that you can keep a majority of dirtbags away from your site.

When it comes to killing IP’s feel free to kill entire blocks of addresses! Sure, you may be killing off a few visitors but on the other hand you are also keeping out the asshat who is determined to access up your server!

Bottom line is that you will need to check your logs daily and look for strange or wrong feeling comments and trackbacks on your site.

So watch the video, learn a little and perhaps avoid a situation that you don’t want to deal with. Not everything is covered here, but be aware learn, use Google to research and never give up!
